Store your own power with a home battery

A home battery stores your solar energy so you can use it in the evening or to charge your car. Combined with solar panels and an EV charger it forms one smart energy system that brings your energy bill close to zero.

Home battery installation in the Netherlands

A home battery stores the electricity your solar panels generate during the day, so you can use it in the evening, overnight, or to charge your electric car. A typical system holds 5 to 15 kWh and costs between EUR 3,000 and EUR 12,000 installed, with a payback time of around 7 to 12 years.

Why it matters now: the Dutch net-metering scheme (salderingsregeling) ends on 1 January 2027. Today you can offset everything you feed back to the grid, but from 2027 that feed-in becomes far less rewarding, around EUR 0.05 to 0.09 per kWh. A battery lets you use your own solar power instead of selling it cheaply, raising your self-consumption from roughly 30% to 70 to 80%.

Why store

Use your own energy when you need it

With the net-metering scheme ending in 2027, self-consumption is the smart move.

More self-consumption

Use up to 70 to 80% of your own solar energy instead of around 30% without a battery.

Lower energy bill

Avoid buying back expensive grid power in the evening when your panels are not producing.

Smart energy management

We tune charging, storage and consumption so everything works together automatically.

Home battery

A home battery typically costs between EUR 3,000 and EUR 12,000 depending on capacity (roughly 5 to 15 kWh). We give you a fixed price up front based on your situation.

Combined with solar panels, most households save between EUR 400 and EUR 900 per year by using their own stored power instead of buying it back from the grid.

The Dutch net-metering scheme ends on 1 January 2027. After that, storing and using your own solar power becomes far more valuable than feeding it back to the grid.

Yes. We tune charging, storage and consumption into one smart energy system so you get the most out of your own, cheapest electricity.

It depends on your daily consumption and solar production. Most households choose 5 to 10 kWh, while larger homes with an EV often go for 10 to 15 kWh. We calculate the ideal capacity for your situation.

Only batteries with a backup function keep selected circuits running during an outage. If backup power is important to you, we advise on the setup that fits your needs.

Yes. We install quality LFP (lithium iron phosphate) batteries, known for their stability and long lifespan, and every installation meets the NEN 1010 safety standard.
